Email marketing platforms, like MailChimp, Sender, Ontraport, and more, allow you to efficiently create, personalise, and optimise marketing emails that feel and look professional. These platforms allow you to build your contacts list, schedule and track campaigns, measure analytics, and more.

Build your email list

There are two basic ways to build your list of contacts: lead magnets and opt-in forms. A lead magnet provides your audience with a free offer in exchange for their contact information. Make sure the lead magnet offer is enticing enough for them to hand over their email, such as a free ebook, checklist, template, video or infographic.

Meanwhile, an opt-in form on your website lets visitors sign up to your email campaign. You want it to be enticing and exciting enough so that potential subscribers don’t get confused or disinterested.

Choose a campaign type

What type of campaign you choose depends on your objective. You may want to send out a monthly newsletter. Email marketing is also a great opportunity to announce exclusive offers. You can also use email marketing to round previously shared content. You should also set up different lists for different types of emails, so people can sign up for only the emails that are relevant to them.

Make a schedule

Decide how often you plan to contact your list and inform your audience upfront. You do not want to overwhelm subscribers’ inboxes that they’ll want to opt out of or their email service provider will redirect your emails to their spam folder. Once you set a schedule, be consistent. It will build trust and ensure you stay top of mind for your audience.
